How To Set Up A Letter Writing Campaign

Choose a date and time (such as your faith community's coffee/social hour). Publicize the campaign as many ways as you can: newsletters, fliers, email notices, announcements during services, etc.

Set up a table and provide sample letters, paper, pens, envelops, stamps, addresses, and fact sheets about the legislation. Encourage people to write letters then and there, and to leave them for you to mail.

Be sure to report back to your community with results of the action: how many letters were written, the outcome in the General Assembly, etc.
